It basically turns in to a home game for UNC/Duke. I think it should be played in NC 5 times, Maryland once, Boston once, Richmond twice, Florida twice, etc.

Actually, you have UNC, Duke, Wake, and NC Sate in close proximity..that's 1/3 of the conference....Clemson isn't far either.
That's why I said play in NC 5 times. It's pretty ridiculous to me though that it's been played in the Maryland/DC area once in the last 20 years.

That would be a very good idea but they would be too lazy to go through the trouble
FWIW, I'm pretty sure the ACC moved their Baseball tourny to NC last season, or the one before.
They wanted to have the baseball tourney at Fenway, but there was a scheduling conflict that caused Fenway to refuse the ACC to hold it there.
Instead, they moved it to the Durham Bulls' ballpark in NC.
